The Pacman Project

This report describes the development of the PacMaas system for Maastricht University
, a real-life Pac-Man game in the streets of Maastricht.
The PacMaas system allows players to use the game client on their PDA and play the game. When the game is in
progress, the players receive advice on their movement from an advisor which is running on a central server. The
game can also be viewed from a website, which updates the positions of the players according to the GPS-signal
from their PDA. The advisor uses an AI based on an evolutionary algorithm to train heuristic parameters
of the pacman and ghost behaviour.
